If you’re a caregiver living in the river towns, free support is available from a program being launched this fall by Westchester Jewish Community Services. The organization is non-denominational.
The WJCS Family Caregiver Support Program will host a monthly group for individuals and families in the river towns providing care for someone at least 60 years old.
Starting October 15, the group will meet the third Thursday of each month from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the James Harmon Community Center, 44 Main Street, Hastings-on-Hudson. For further information, contact Jane Slevin, MFT, WJCS Family Caregiver Network Coordinator at 914-761-0600×143 or jslevin@wjcs.com.
The support group is sponsored by the WJCS Family Caregiver Network (FCN) and the WJCS Livable Communities Connections Project.
